CONSCIOUSNESS IN NATURE
THE WILD BEINGS #6

The last blog focused on the San Bushmans' appreciations of animal consciousness. This extends to their interactions with plants  Still and Talking Beings as well.

This is the last of the blogs for 2019. We will begin again in January. I thought I would end this year's blog by adding some more thoughts on the Wild Beings.

Before doing this blog I had a dream I was trekking with a Bedouin guide and leading his camel. The owner of the camel said that it was important to establish a relationship with the animal. I began in the dream to care for, connect and touch, rather than just lead the camel, and then found I understood more of the camel's essence. I said to the owner;
"yes this camel wants to test me to see who I am, he is a bit of a trickster and the camel smiled to me in acknowledgment."
This lead me to these Ancestor teaching and to the subject of animal psychics and whisperers or animal sangomas.

The Ancestors

Most of us are familiar with or have our own "Power Animal/s."It was not so long ago, however, that there were many animal sangomas (Zulu for shaman) who were gifted in being able to relate intimately to wild animals without being harmed in any way. This differs from the concept of a power animal and represents another level of communication. These sangomas could handle snakes or walk among lions and elephants with impunity - i.e. a snake, lion or elephant sangoma - the ones with animal medicine. The sangoma concerned usually had this connection with only one animal species.
The remarkable gift comes from some spiritual connection, ancestral protection or some unknown power that we cannot understand. Above all, however, it is
a love for the animal and the ability to have absolutely no fear
which eludes most of us in this situation.

Remember also that our Domestic Beings used to be wild once. Some have subsequently adopted our negative traits that one may not find in the wild. Before that they were pure, doing exactly what the Creator designed them to do - true to them-Selves.
Dog lovers will tell you that their pets can feel shame.
I have a patient who has worked with horses, especially race horses all his life and says the same of them. He relates that if some lose a race they seem ashamed and are unable to race again. Those who can just pick up and get 'back' can continue to compete. Possibly they are still more authentically like mustangs. We know that wild animals who survive the predator prey interaction also simply pick up where they left off. They do not get PTSD or shame.

"The wolf also shall dwell with the lamb, and the leopard shall lie down with the kid; and the calf and the young lion and the fatted calf together; and a little child shall lead them."

 Isaiah

With the help of social media we are learning amazing things about current animal behavior. We are literally seeing the leopard lie down with the kid in real time captured on film. Maybe now, they are coming more than ever, to teach us to get along with one another - to no longer distinguish between color, race, culture, language or as Dammapada says;

"See yourself in others, then whom can you hurt, what harm can you do."

One look is worth a 1000 words...
Check out this two minute video of Kevin Richardson swimming with a lioness. This is not about lion taming but more about the lioness "being"with the whisperer.
Kevin Richardson - Lioness Mag swim with the Lionwhisperer ...https://www.youtube.com › watch

We are all familiar with pet whispers when it comes to our domestic animals. Many with have been to animal psychics for help and healing.

The next amazing short video takes wild animal whispering and healing to another level. If you take notice of the eyes of the leopard you will see not only a change in her overall behavior but in the eyes as well. Sadly animals rescued from death and adverse circumstance are really meant to be in the wild but now have little choice.
A game photographer friend of mine who worked in a Big Five reserve in South Africa related to me that one could see a habituated animal by looking at their eyes. Those in the reserves habituated to Talking Beings lose the wildness in their eyes. Diablo in this movie retained this angry wildness no doubt because of prior severe abuse.

Anna Breitenbach animal whisperer
12:52Black Leopard and The Animal Communicator, Anna ...

The wolf will live with the lamb, the leopard will lie down with the goat, the calf and the lion and the yearling together; and a little child will lead them.

The cow will feed with the bear, their young will lie down together, and the lion will eat straw like the ox.

The infant will play near the cobra’s den, and the young child will put its hand into the viper’s nest.

They will neither harm nor destroy on all my holy mountain, for the earth will be filled with the knowledge of the Lord as the waters cover the sea.
Isaiah

I also said to myself, “As for humans, God tests them so that they may see that they are like the animals.

Surely the fate of human beings is like that of the animals; the same fate awaits them both: As one dies, so dies the other. All have the same breath ; humans have no advantage over animals. Everything is meaningless.

All go to the same place; all come from dust, and to dust all return.

Who knows if the human spirit rises upward and if the spirit of the animal goes down into the earth?” Ecclesiastes

We, however, have consciousness and will be held to a higher account.

As a substitute for an absence in blogs over the holidays those interested in more information on the incredible spiritual power associated with the hunter gatherer existence can check out this video shot in the Kalahari in 2000 on the San Trance Dance. There are other dvd's on the web site davidcumes.com
This out of body spirit flight also empowered the trance dancers to know what was ailing members of the clan, to help heal them with hands on and put energy or Num (equivalent to Shaktipat) into their bodies. In addition their out of body trance state allowed them to know where to hunt the next day or find water or a lost child.
The healers were Talking Being whisperer or shamans,
and the hunter-trackers, animal "knowers" and sometimes shape shifters.
The austerity of their survival situation and their connection with Nature gave them spiritual powers without which they could not have survived.

We will continue the blogs on the consciousness of the Still Beings et al in the New Year.
Thanks for joining the blog, happy holidays and have a fruitful New Year.

CONSCIOUSNESS IN NATURE
THE WILD BEINGS #5

The Ancestors

Thich Nhat Hanh taught that we all
"INTER-ARE"
and the Ancestors that
"we are all one, though not the same."
These teachings also parallel Lovelock's Gaia hypothesis.
We are all made of the same elements and everything we do
can have an impact on all the Beings and the planet.

Druid saying

Last week's blog addressed the research on trees and mycelial
interaction and how the "Wild Beings"
especially the bears and bees have their role to play.
We can learn more from our Ancestors, the San Bushmen. The San Bushman, based on genomic studies, were the
"First People."
We all have some of their D.N.A. in our genes.
Bees feature prominently in their creation story and elsewhere.
They very much embrace the Gaia concept and being
hunter gatherers they intimately understand
how all Beings interact
If it was not for this wisdom they would not have been able to survive
in such an austere environment as the Kalahari desert.

This rendition of the Kua San creation story was drawn for me
by a bushman one day in 1987 while sitting under an acacia
to escape the heat. The belly of the Earth Mother pregnant
with all the Beings ruptured.
Her abdomen then sealed off and She became the Earth Mother
and it's crust.
The sun, stars and moon were in place and according to legend
the ostrich later brought the Bushman fire
tucked under its wing.

Another creation story probably from the Kung San clan
referable to the first human is where the wisdom of Bee features.
Mantis is also huge in San lore.

In the times I spent visiting the San, it seemed true that there
was a distinct spiritual connection between them and bees as evidenced in this rock painting. The sweetness of honey is a treat to the San and they have a strong connection with the honey guide who with its bird song leads them to the hive. The San always share the spoils with the bird since they say if you do not the next time honey guide will take you to a mamba instead.
A buzzing sound, akin to bees, is a common sensory experience in states of altered consciousness.

Here the artist seems to be making an offering to the hive.

The Celts believed that if you wanted to find out something from the Ancestors you should ask the bees.

"To experience the Wild Beings
one must dance with them."
The Ancestors

Never was this more real to me than the month I spent alone with the San in 1987. Their knowledge of animal behavior was so profound that they could "dance" them by mimicking their behavior exactly. I still recall one bushman "becoming" an ostrich
and except for his human form it would have been impossible to
know he was not an ostrich. This form of shapeshifting in real time, and also sometimes in surreal time, enabled them to have advanced hunting and tracking skills. Some have reported that although they follow the tracks they also can follow "lines of energy" that help them find the animal. Hunters were known to bond with the animal, "become" their prey on the hunt and "psyche" them out causing them to freeze after chasing them down.
The fact that animals have their own behavior and consciousness and they understood it was part of San existence. They could not have hunted successfully without it.
This 53 minute video by the Fosters helps us understand what the Ancestors mean about animal consciousness when they say ...
to experience the Wild Beings one must dance with them. This exquisite and graphic movie (there are moments that may be too graphic for some but just shut your eyes for a bit) reminds us
of
who we were and used to be not so long ago
 how much we have lost
the extent to which indigenous peoples continue to be marginalized
and how the ancient beauty we had as participators in God's magical creation is fast disappearing including ...

Animals have incredible intelligence and can learn. Lions in a  game park in South Africa have figured out how to open doors and pull their unfortunate human prey out of the car.
Illegal migrants from Mozambique trying to enter South Africa would walk through the Kruger National Park to prevent being apprehended. Everyone knows that to frighten animals and predators away it helps to make loud banging noises. It was not long before lions learned that this was a dinner gong for a meal.

Dogs have telepathic abilities and can be taught to sniff out prostate cancer and to detect mines in war torn areas. Rupert Sheldrake did research on "dogs who know when their owners are coming home." This was regardless of car noise or a predictable time of day. The same was true when the owner decided to go for a walk at odd times. The dog would appear almost at that moment. Dogs have been known to travel vast distances to find their owners with some remarkable psychic ability. I noticed that the San never lost their way in the shapeless Kalahari desert wherever they were. They also seemed to have a built in G.P.S.
Sheldrake also has done research on morphic fields.
The 100th monkey phenomenon describes how macaque monkeys on a Japanese island learned to wash sweet potatoes. Once a critical number of monkeys on the island had learned by observation to do this monkeys on nearby islands started to do the same through what Sheldrake would call a morphic or morphogenetic field.

Animals have the ability to predict when earthquakes are about to occur and before the disastrous tsunami in Thailand the elephants left for higher ground before the event.

Birds especially homing pigeons and European robins can find their way in the day and at night possibly by using magnetic compassing. Loggerhead turtles come back to the same place year after year to lay their eggs.

Successive generations of weaver birds when brought into captivity and separated from their parents still retained the instinctive ability to weave their remarkable nests. This is behavior that seems to reside in their D.NA. if not their "consciousness."

Dolphins and elephants have empathy and both have been known to rescue humans especially dolphins. Elephants mourn their dead and go back to visit grave sites. Research has shown elephants passing the bones of a deceased elephant in a funeral like procession from one elephant to the next one behind.

Orangutangs, chimps, gorillas. bottlenose dolphins, orangutangs, elephants, bonobos, macaques monkeys and magpies have
"self-awareness"
with a mirror test. They knew it was them in the mirror.

It is clear that we have just begun to fathom the depth of animals intelligence and the specific consciousnesses that we do not have.

 CONSCIOUSNESS IN NATURE #4
THE GROWING BEINGS,  TREES AND BEES

The Ancestors

The archetype of the tree has for a long time represented the bridge between heaven and earth. This is most notable in the Tree of Life of Kabbalah and also that of the Druids and Celts.

We know from research that nature has a healthful affect on all of us. This is showing up more and more in our living and working spaces and in architecture.
Patients who have a window view of nature do better as do jail inmates, especially prisoners who work in gardens. Wilderness psychologists have shown a greater restorative effect after a nature walk than an urban one and a backpack outing is more restorative than a hike.
It seems the longer and the more intense - the better. Green and blue colors are relaxing and natural light is essential in preventing Seasonal Affective Disorder.

On the other hand  what effect do we have on plant consciousness?
And how do Growing Beings affect our lives?

Research has shown that plants can feel sound and some can "dance." Music and prayer enhances their growth but the wrong music, like heavy metal, can kill them. Pea seedlings know the difference between up and down and can twine around objects.  Turn them on their side and they still grow up. The "brain" of the plant is behind the root tip and they have neural connections not unlike us. This root apex wriggles around to find the softest ground. Cut it off and it grows aimlessly. Plants sleep and some fold their leaves. If sleep is prevented they can wither and die.
They appear to have memory.
If water also has consciousness the vibration of the water they receive will also have an effect on the plant's growth and health.

In an intact forest there is an intimate relationship between mycelial networks, mushrooms and trees below and above ground. These networks connect the forest population and send messages. The legacy trees are the forest elders who have a huge effect on the health of the forest and can communicate up to 30 meters. Research shows that there is an underground economy between Burch, Douglas fir and Cedar trees. They share food underground – the bigger and the older, the more so. Hollow fungal tubes branch and connect forming fungal freeways. The fungi draw in water as well as elements (Nitrogen, Magnesium, Phosphorus, Calcium - and lignen which has large amounts of Nitrogen) that the tree needs to grow otherwise it would be stunted. Without these networks the tree cannot suck up water easily.
On the other hand fungal gardens need sugar from the trees' photosynthesis. There is an exchange of sugar for water and minerals. The fungal tubes worm their way along bumping into rocks and stones, releasing oxalic acid which creates micro tunnels helping them to mine minerals. In good times trees give fungi sugar, but under stress they retain it. In times of stress they protect themselves by releasing chemicals that give a bad taste to browsers. Old trees can dump food into new trees in times of stress. The different species also help each other.
This Intelligence goes beyond the species themselves as it does with bees.

In South Africa Wouten Van Hooven found that acacia trees that were over grazed by kudu started to produce an excess of tannins in their leaves that was poisoning the antelope. This protective mechanism  prevented the kudu from over browsing. Furthermore like the research in North America he showed that the acacias communicated with one another  and warned neighboring trees by emitting ethylene gas from their leaves which allowed their neighbors to do the same.

RESEARCH SHOWS THAT CLEARCUTTING IS DANGEROUS TO THE FOREST HEALTH ESPECIALLY WHEN LEGACY TREES ARE REMOVED.
A CULTIVATED FOREST FOR TIMBER IS A SICK FOREST.

The intimate relationship of The Druid Golden Triangle included the Druids, Bees and Trees and the Druids. The Druids were a nature bound people and like the Bushmen they felt that bees represented the Ancestors and were sacred - their hum was also sacred. They were not the only ones.

Allah gave revelation to the honeybee by sending bee prophets.” The Koran.

He will hear sounds of the sphere in ten forms ... also in the form of the buzzing of the bees. Hazrat Inayat Khan.

A bee hive like a healthy forest is a perfectly functioning system - Divine intellect woven through nature. Bees have been considered the spirit that resides in the hive body, and mead, the nectar of the gods. Bees are also the “mine canaries” informing us about the health of the environment. It is highly likely that if there were no bees we would not survive. Bees pollinate trees and plants, and trees feed and house bees.
Bees can carry and are adversely affected by Varroa mites. The scratching of bears introduces mycelia into trees. Bees are attracted to these mushrooms and mycelia for antivirals to eliminate their mites. Research is now revealing that mycelia may be the key to finding powerful antivirals that can also help humanity against viral diseases.

Sadly it's not only nature that is being adversely affected by us but also out children. Richard Louy's book on the
"Nature Deficit Disorder" called Last Child in the Woods
is alarming. There are an increasing amount of behavioral disorders being recognized in children now that social media, electronic devices and technology have lured kids away from Nature. It is likely that when these children mature there may be even less of a desire to preserve the little we have left.

CONSCIOUSNESS IN NATURE  #3
WATER

Water is vital for life on earth and it has been said;
"people fight over oil but they kill for water!"

The Ancestors

For those of you familiar with Emoto's research re
Consciousness and Memory in Water
it is still probably worth downloading this three minute video.
Water, Consciousness & Intent: Dr. Masaru Emoto - YouTubehttps://www.youtube.com › watch

Before talking about the Growing Beings it is essential that we realize that water holds consciousness and memory as do the Growing Beings. German scientist have confirmed the same.

The Growing Beings are of the Water Element.
The Ancestors

Plants that are prayed to and have classical music played to them grow better. Those exposed to rock music are hampered. This could be a response of the plant consciousness itself or/and the response to water that is coursing through the "veins" of the plant just as blood courses through our vessels. Love infused water is nurturing.

The question is;
what vibration does the water and the plants have that we imbibe. What affect does that have on our bodies, minds and spirits?
and
What is the waters' source?
The Ancestors

They can look pristine and feel it but one may have to walk or hike far to find them.

There are only  two emotions or feelings
Love and Fear.
To summarize Emoto for those who did not down load the video ...
This is what the crystals of water look like when exposed to a love vibration. Classical music looks similar as does exposure to Mother Theresa's picture.

Below is what they look like when exposed to a fear vibration. Heavy metal music looks similar.
Google Fujiwara lake which looks pristine but see how nasty its frozen crystalline formation "looks" under a microscope. How does the water coming out of our faucet look?

Since up to 80% of our cells may comprise water ...

In biblical times the Israelites used water for spiritual cleansing and this is the basis for the ritual cleansing bath the "Mikvah" to this day. The main principle of the Mikvah is that the water must be continually flowing in and out. Its is not a bath in the usual sense.

"Most forms of ritual impurity can be purified through immersion in any natural collection of water.
However, some impurities, require "living water", such as springs or groundwater wells. Living water has the further advantage of being able to purify even while flowing. The Mikvah is designed to simplify this requirement, by providing a bathing facility that remains in constant contact with a natural source of  water."

When John the Baptist began baptisms the Jordan or any other river was completely different to what it is today. It's comforting to know that we can change waters' molecular structure with the power of a positive love vibration; playing sacred music, burning incense, prayer
or placing a sacred plant in the water such as sage or cedar.
It may be a good idea to do the same for the water we drink. It may be chemically clean but not vibrationally sound.

It may also be powerful to go out and dance naked in the rain while requesting we be cleansed from our impurities by our guides and especially by the Great Spirit.

"Before the arrival of Jesus, John preached a baptism of repentance  to all the people of Israel." Acts 13:24
In other word spiritual cleansing.

The Ancestors

Spontaneous remissions of diseases that have defied the best that modern medicine has to offer have been reported in sacred places using holy water as a medium or "container." Lourdes in France is the best example but there are others.

Water itself can be a "container" for a "blessing," from or a request to, our Spirit Guides and the Creator. If water is empowered by sacred plants, prayers or loving intentions as well as being combined with other rituals in some way or another - all the better.
Rituals on their own serve as containers, and our guides like us to be creative and specific with our requests sent to them in ritual form.  Moreover, ritual has a powerful affect on our brains conscious as well as our subconscious. A ritual is more indelibly recorded in our minds and has an influence beyond the veil as well. The more powerful the intention, will and passion, the better.
Because free will is the cosmic law the spirit world requires we be very specific in our requests.
Ritual is a way to do this and is a powerful form of supplication or gratitude. It can also be done in a bath or a pool of water made sacred with ritual.

Fire as well as water have cleansing powers. The effect of fire converting water to steam as in the Native American sweat lodge can be a profound cleansing ritual. Moreover, there is also group coherence with chants and prayers as well as the effect of the incense liberated by sacred plants placed on the red hot rocks.
