THE SPIRITUAL POWER OF MUSIC # 7

This blog will focus more on the music selection and it's intention rather than information. See where it takes you in your imagination.

The Ancestors endorse - more than most things - the power of sensory meditation and the use of music to enhance our imaginative power as part of an active, rather than passive meditative practice.

"Imagination is the elixir of the Divine permeating the universe. It is more than positive thinking. Our imaginings help us cocreate with the Creator.
Paint the picture of your life with imagination."
The Ancestors

They would affirm that most brilliant musicians are channelling from their Ancestors or Spirit Guides (or "Muse,") and in the case of some, like Mozart and Beethoven, the Angels or God Him/HerSelf.
Hence the need to give credit where it is due (as do Ladysmith Black Mombasa who admit that their songs come from the Ancestors.)
Their imagination is inspired by Spirit.

Music has its light or dark side but we need more light to neutralize all the dark that surrounds us in our modern world.
A simple beat like Rap can be compelling
with words that elevate.
Beethoven, Tartini, Wagner and other composers used  the Tritone or "Diabolus Musica"
to create drama
rather than dissonance and the chaotic sounds of Heavy Metal. It's all about the basic intention - does it instill love or fear.

There are three ways of mourning; with tears, with silence and with song. That with song is the most powerful." Talmud
