OUR SPIRIT GUIDES & SCRIPTED DREAMS  #7

(As usual, unless otherwise indicated, the teaching quotes are from the Ancestors)

Although rarely encountered in dreams there are also non-human spirits. These include terrestrial, water and cosmic spirits as well as our power animals, both domestic and wild. Others spirits include mythical entities such as; Indian deities, Greek gods, gnomes, elves, goblins, leprechauns, fairies et al. Occasionally they can be intrusive. Light and dark exist within everything in the cosmos. Fairies can be mischievous and cause trouble too. I occasionally see mystical animals and plants in my dreams that I have never seen before.

We are watching from endless space
We are waiting in timeless order
Chant your way across the Veil
Spiral into existence those spirits that are needed

Nurturing Connection with One’s Spirit Guides with the Help of an Altar.

An altar is a “container” and sacred space to connect with our guides where we can ask to receive - as well as give thanks when we do receive - whether it's a helpful dream or something else. Lay down a white cloth that is new, or special and attractive. Embellish the altar with their photos or mementos which hold their energy such as a walking stick, their favorite book, a ring, a cup etc. If you do not have a photo for the altar write down the name. If you have no name allocate an object such as a crystal. If you have an image from a dream, draw or paint it. Do not put any "skeletons from the family closet" on your altar unless resolution with them has been perfectly made. Regardless, you may not want them and their energy there. Dedicate a dream journal or a recording device and take it to bed with you. Your smart phone can be used as well. Make offerings, light a candle or incense, bring gifts from time to time – a feather, an attractive pebble picked up on a hike. Always have them in mind.

To connect with our spirit guides it helps to create sacred space. Open it formally by drumming, rattling, or lighting a candle or incense. If we wish to make requests it is best done in some form of ritual. It need not be complicated. It will be more easily received and acted upon if the request is for the greater good rather than ourselves. If it is for ourselves, it should be in order to help the greater good.

For those who are healers or who are doing spiritual work, it's wise to use sacred space to invoke ones guides. Also formally close the space and give thanks when the work is complete. If possible, dedicate a space purely for that purpose.

The ancients would ask of you to perform good deeds, speak good words and think good thoughts in their memory.
They would want you to be a repository of their instructions, or other wisdom teachers, and their righteous and loving ways.

Gratitude and love are also how we help them.

Celebrate their birthdays and honor the days of their death by making a meal and placing a token plate of food and drink out for them while you eat. Your imagination knows no bounds and even though you may not get feedback you can be sure they are around. We empower them when we allow them to do service on our behalf through our free will - - now that they have none of their own.

Free will is the cosmic law. Our guides live in a timeless reality bound by free will. Free will is always in the present moment and so it is wise to affirm requests from time to time. The altar itself is a “Container” for these requests and to give gratitude.

Your guides will value your creativity especially if it comes out of love.  The dead are not dead. A connection with them can be nurtured. If all this is new to you, have a party for your guides, "prepare a table for them," lay out a plate of food. Welcome them into your life and to their altar. Introduce them to your dream journal or recorder.

The dead and the living can best meet in the Astral in dreams when the veil is most permeable. Mostly these guides are reconciling with their karma.

Save your evening prayer for the morning.

Our guides appear most easily after the first phase of deep, delta, dreamless sleep and in the early hours of the morning during R.E.M. sleep. Have gratitude when they appear or script a dream.

Beware the state of mind before bedtime; avoid alcohol or medications (if you can,) violent movies and toxic TV which can effect your dreams.

Be careful of what you taste and where you immerse.

How do we open the veil between the worlds ?

Spiritual practice is essential to open the Third Eye and

 "Awaken the Snake,"

the feminine, serpent, shakti, power residing dormant at the base of the spine coiled around the central energy channel that we all have. Love is the catalyst that allows our guides to cross the veil and instruct us. We also need to open our heart chakras to love, forgiveness and gratitude.

The fact that they are non-local in space and time means they have knowledge we cannot readily access without them.

They also know our divine given destiny and are there to help us be in touch with it.

Because of free will they cannot tell us what to do but they can warn us about what not to do if we ask. We must ask to receive and ask very specifically because of free will!

We also help them by allowing them to help us so that they can do karmic work from the other side through our free will.

It helps to subordinate ego to the higher Self - its not about us but about helping the planet.

Miscellaneous Causes of Non Intrusive and Intrusive Dreams or Visitations

Shortly after death spirits visit to:

Announce their death (for those who do not know yet.)

Complain they have not been properly put to rest or request attention with regard to the will, unfinished business etc.

Have closure - reassure, give or ask for forgiveness.

We may also be opposed by dysfunctional spirits - tricksters - from lesser vibrations. They are envious of those who have a high vibration and their "light" is a reproach to them.

Lesser vibrations which emanate, from narrow mind are often viewed as needing to sort out and work through their own calling. Beware of those on either side of the veil who would make you their resolution, much less their absolution.

Very rarely these can also be lost souls that reside in the lower, more demonic realms.

In South Africa someone who is "called" to become a sangoma, may experience the "Calling" or the Thwasa illness and have disturbing, instructional dreams in that regard. Until one relents and initiates or reconciles with the spirits as to why it is not possible at the moment, these may persist. Thwasa is a calling to one's destiny and if not responded to appropriately, there will be a serious missed opportunity and a later karmic burden. This is a favor and a blessing from spirit and not a dysfunction even if it feels like dysfunction at first. Once the person commits to initiation, the dreams disappear.
