THE MAGICAL POWER OF NATURE # 9
An increased awareness of our natural connection with rocks, trees, plants,
animals, all the still beings, the growing beings and the wild beings,
not just the talking beings is transformative.
It will help us feel the spiritual kinship we have with all creation.
The First Chakra of the Earth element has to do with survival.
Mastery of it, is how we ground and protect ourselves.
.
All Four Beings have their own vibration and unique form of consciousness,
even the Still Beings.
The Still Beings comprise the earth, the mountains, the rocks, the sand as well
as; crystals, semiprecious and precious, stones and metals.
Crystals can enhance the ambient vibration and protect.Precious and semiprecious stones and metals can also be used for sacred purpose
because of their high vibration (for instance gold in Buddhist temples.)
Now they are usually prized for their financial as well
as their aesthetic value which enhance one's persona
but not necessarily the soul.
They can be used as talismans and amulets and as lockets
especially if enhanced with sacred plants, prayers, symbols...
The Law of Contagion
states that when things are in contact with one another they can affect the other.
In shamanic context 'Containers' hold spiritual power
when used to create sacred intention. Anything can be a Container;
a talisman, an amulet a crystal, a stone, sacred plant/s...
An altar to one's guides and ancestors is a powerful container to make requests
and give gratitude.
A dream journal or recording device is a container to record their messages.
An altar can help us communicate, make requests and give them gratitude.
Place objects of meaningful connection on your altar; their ring, a cup,
photos of your ancestors or if you don't have one then write down their names.Also, anyone who loved you (teacher, friend, ex lover) who has passed on
has the potential to be a guide. You can represent and honor them with a crystal or similar.Love is the catalyst that enables them to cross the veil between the worlds
and script our dreams or download intuitive messages during awake time.
Churches and temples have sacred objects that hold spiritual power.
A Tibetan gong awakens, clears and repels dark forces prior to meditating.
Think also of a dog who is given an article of clothing to find someone or
a psychic using the same to connect better with a lost child.
Sacred plants as well as the Still Beings used in ritual are powerful containers
for us, to ask to receive.
Prayers and healing, mysteriously, are enhanced through containers.
Unfortunately hexes are too.
Witches can create harm though the Law of Contagion -
a locket of someones hair, a nail clipping, an article of clothing, an effigy...
SUMMARY
Each Chakra has its own primal sound, element, spiritual vibration and attribute
as per the prior blogs. With the help of spiritual practice
we can ascend up the Chakra hierarchy to the Crown, the place of Unity Consciousness or
the Oneness Experience. The Oneness Experience is similar to Maslow's Peak experience where, for instance, we 'become' the dance, or the music, or ... and for a brief, ecstatic moment duality disappears.
It is that dynamic where the Knower, the Known and the Process of knowing fuse into One thing. It can happen when
the Knower (you) the Known (maybe a rainbow) and the Process of you viewing it,
all fuse into the rainbow.
This can occur when we are in Nature for dedicated periods of time - usually five days or more. The closer we are and the less 'stuff' we have to impede the process the more likely it is to occur. It comes when least expected, usually by grace.
Being cognizant of the elements, the Beings of Nature, the breath and sound can assist us.
The shamanic principles described in the last blogs can help us connect more deeply in Nature and to the Chakras. Nature is a 'room' with many doors and windows to spirit.
The Four Beings of Nature described by the Ancestors which have been added are
not a part of the Yoga model.
The Earth element of the 'Still Beings' can help protect us through the Law of Contagion.
The First Chakra is our survival - flight of fight energy center where we can defend and ground ourselves with sacred objects, talismans, amulets and an altar to invoke spirit help.
The Second Chakra of the Water element and the Growing Beings enables us to use sacred plants for an intention especially when used in water or with steam.
Our power and ego centered Third Chakra supports the fire element which can create cleansing steam and heated water for our sacred baths using plants of power and anything else to enhance the process.
The Fourth Chakra of love can be opened with spiritual practice as well asusing our breath animated by the Supreme Being - Pranayama, - Yoga's science of breath.

The Fifth Chakra, also of the Air Element, is empowered by chanting, song, gongs, musical instruments, music...
The Sixth Chakra is a more refined version of Air or even Ether - our intuitive Third Eye which can see what seeing eyes cannot see.
Just below the Third Eye are the nostrils where the Sun (Pingala) and Moon (Ida) channels unite after spiraling around the central Channel.
The Sun is the hot, red, more masculine, cognitive path.
The Moon is the cool, blue, more feminine intuitive channel.
The two can be balanced by Alternative Nostril Pranayama
(or any breathing technique.)
The Crown or Thousand Petalled Lotus is the place of the Oneness Experience where Shiva and Shakti unite. This is mediated through the Kundalini, feminine serpent power that normally rests coiled at the base of the spine until it is mobilized up the Central Channel by our spiritual endeavors. The Zulus call this the Umbilini, the San Bushmen, Num. This energy is universal. Kabbalists might say its the Shechina,
the feminine aspect of the Creator.
Nature, wilderness and wild places and the Magic of the Ordinary or Extraordinary for those so inclined can help us attain higher states of consciousness and Wilderness rapture when we are intimate with all these energies and polarities.
