 CONSCIOUSNESS IN NATURE,

THE ELEMENTS & US # 3

When I first meditated on this teaching from the Ancestors I wondered; where is the wisdom and love in water?  I later learned that Emoto had asked similar questions and found the answers.
He froze water after exposing it to either a love or a fear intention and then looked at the crystals under high magnification and discovered that the emotion of Fear resulted in an ugly outcome but that of love created exquisite crystals. Interestingly water from Fujiwara lake coming out of the faucet did not look too healthy either. He was concerned that if thought could affect water in this way then what could it do to our bodies which contain 70-80% water? Moreover, what about the water we drink, even the fancy designer water we buy in plastic bottles. I recommend for this reason that it's a good idea to place a sacred plant in one's water or make a blessing or prayer before drinking and for that matter before cooking or even eating food.

German scientists confirmed Emoto's work that water has memory, resonance and consciousness.
These researchers raised the question of what might tears from different people look like if studied - tears of joy and laughter versus those of sorrow and pain.

“Water is the driving force of nature.“ Indeed, there can be no life without water. But what are the secrets hidden in this amazing part of nature? How did it come to Earth? Who brought it? Leonardo Da Vinci

It is said that men fight over oil but kill for water.
The properties of water are unique and cannot be explained entirely by the laws of physics. For example, water is the only chemical compound which can exist in three forms: liquid, solid and gaseous – at the temperatures that our planet naturally has.

“Water trickling from the top of a hill is but a drop of the deep spring within.” The Ancestors

The Kogi tribe of Columbia that live in the mountains believe they are here to protect the planet. They say that time is running out and that the first order of our efforts to reclaim a healthy planet is attention to planet's and our lifeblood - water. They warn that the sacred threads between the glaciers and lakes that feed the rivers that then run into the ocean and connect the lagoons have been broken by their "younger brothers" (us) and need to be restored if we are to survive. This has stopped the cycle of water that has always been renewing itself - forming on top, finding the way down while feeding all the beings; (Still; Growing, Wild and Talking,) coming home to the mother ocean and then eventually reforming above. They rightly claim the rivers are running dry and the lagoons are sick and dying. Alien plants that have been planted aggravate the situation and by killing off the native species.

“Follow the river to its source, breath it into being, the moisture is of the wellspring. The moisture and the breath within - are the Creator’s giving. The Ancestors

When I started my initiation to become a sangoma in Swaziland I wondered why my mentor and this ancient tradition focused so much attention on  water. I was told to bathe in water but first to put a sacred plant powder in it. Each plant in the powder made from roots and bark had a separate intention and the bath and the medicine were passwords expressing a request for help from the spirit world. One had to ask to receive and be very specific and the plants intention gave permission for the right action to be taken on one's behalf. I also had to steam in a mini sweat lodge with room only for myself and a pot of boiling water into which similar plants had been placed. Rituals were often accompanied by drumming and praying. It is probably even better to chant or sing.

“Every single wisdom in the world has a particular chant, a particular melody an when you chant that specific melody it will draw forth the particular wisdom to which it is attached.”
Rev Nachmon

I was also told I would not be complete until I had been taken by a prophet to meet the water spirit (the Unzunzu) where a special ritual would be performed. Everything that I was taught and that I now practice was very mysterious but turned out to be true. The understandings that I gained subsequently helped explain a tiny part of the mystery.

God says, "I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you will be clean; I will cleanse you from all your impurities . . .                                   Iniquities are etched into the bones. To purify one has to remove the stain.” Ezekial

Jesus said that the baptism of John was directed from heaven,
for the remission of sins.”
(Matt 21:25)

Now-days religious Jews attend a Mikva or ritual bath where prayers are delivered probably converting the vibration of the water into a healing and cleansing medium. The Native American sweat lodge no doubt does the same with steam.

This dvd about Aluna (Conscience,) water and the Kogi elders is a bit over an hour but very worthwhile.
